BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF confirms top spot: 50,000 trade visitors flocked to leading industry trade fair

bBeauty is always in high demand – and BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF, which ended Sunday, proved it. In the span of three trade fair days a total of 50,000 trade visitors came to the four halls at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center to see what 1,250 exhibitors and brands from 41 countries had to offer. “BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF has established itself firmly as the leading event in the cosmetic services sector, not least due to its versatile trade and continuing education programme. Only Düsseldorf offers anything like it in such abundance and variety,” says Joachim Schäfer, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH. A trade programme with over 130 events focusing on cosmetics, nail, foot, wellness and spa, as well as a cornucopia of innovations and trends, brought a content smile to the faces of visitors and exhibitors alike. The supporting programme with national and international make-up and nail championships and a number of awards presentations rounded out the diverse agenda. “Over the course of these three days BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF turns into the largest beauty care institute in the world. We are proud of this pioneering role and always look to develop it further with new offerings such as the Beauty Spa. BEAUTY is an absolute must-attend for the professional cosmetics industry,” adds Director Helmut Winkler.

 

The importance of BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF as the leading trade fair was underscored by exhibitors from four BEAUTY segments as they took a satisfied look back at three days of great conversations and good contacts. 

Mechtild Geismann, Vice President of the Central Association of German Podiatrists and Pedicurists (ZFD), explained that no other trade fair in Germany can match the scale of BEAUTY in the specialist field of foot care. “For us BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF is the most important trade fair next to our own event. The lectures at the Foot Care Meeting Point were extremely well attended, and we are very satisfied. Overall the redesign of the Foot Care Meeting Point was a very positive step. Messe Düsseldorf did a fantastic job in that area. 

Lutz Hertel, Chairman of the German Wellness Association, looked at the wellness and spa focus area and summed up the event in a positive light overall: “We were surprised to see so many visitors attending on Friday already. We were especially delighted that trade visitors responded so well to our decision to make the Beauty Spa theme a core topic of our presentations in the wellness area this year,” said Hertel. In addition both the quality of visitors and the attendance at lectures in various specialist fields increased yet again, he said, adding: “We are very satisfied – and we received positive feedback from our exhibitors, as well. Once again this year BEAUTY DÜSSELDORF exceeded all expectations.”
